from a Suzuki violin teacher
I have used this product for many years and think its terrific for all little beginners as it is lightweight and gives them instant success in holding the instrument correctly on their shoulder. One thing I do, though, is cut off the excess cardboard from the sides of the neck and glue a 12 long half-round dowel to the underside so that children can get their hands around the neck and practice putting fingers down on the tapes that I add to the finger board. A red round cosmetic sponge can also be attached to the back for a shoulder rest.
Always have on hand!
I love to use these for my pre-Twinkle students! They are light and easy to start learning on. Plus my students get excited when they see that it looks like a real violin!
Perfect for pre twinklers
I always keep a few Cherub box violins and bows on hand for my incoming Pre Twinklers. This is the perfect "practice violin" to teach violin holding steps, head hold and good posture. The dowel bow is just the right size for tiny hands. Playing on the real violin is so much easier after training for a few weeks on the Cherub box.
