Best in Class. Teacher Recommended Violin.

We searched far and wide for a violin like this one and it was worth it! But don't take our word for it: ask any teacher who has tried one. This gorgeous top-tier violin has a rich, throaty sound, with full projection, ideal for "turning up the volume". But it is also remarkably sweet. Easily comparable to other violins costing much more, we believe this violin is the best value in today's violin market. Made under the watchful eye of an award-winning master, the wood is first-rate and the antique varnish is first-quality, and applied entirely by hand. Finally, our best workshop staff perform a full-setup to exacting specs, working side-by-side with a professional player to be sure each violin performs at its optimal level. 4/4 to 1/4 sizes.

"Why do I love the Lamberti violins? Because they allow my students to have a bright, clear-sounding instrument that both projects and is very sweet to the ear. Parents will enjoy hearing their child practice all afternoon on this violin and so will the student."
- Rebecca Appert, Violinist and Teacher

This Carlo Lamberti violin does not come with any accessories, it is the violin only.

I love it!

I upgraded to this violin from the sonata. It was a huge improvement. This violin has big volume and produces tons of overtones! I have been playing this violin for a little over a month and I love it. I believe I have found my partner! ??

Very pleased!

I just recently rented one of these outfits, along with the presto ovation bow, and have to say I am so glad I pulled the trigger on it. I was really getting frustrated with my $500 student instrument - I think having a music background already I just wasn't enjoying the sound of a student instrument, but I also wasn't ready to spend thousands on a more advanced violin. I know everyone says they "setup" their instruments before shipping them out, but Shar really does live up to that promise. The whole setup just sounds fantastic, the pegs are just right, the bridge - everything. And I think it goes without saying that the tone of the instrument itself is well worth the money as well. Very nice rich sound - I have hardly put it down since it arrived.

This Violin is Wonderful!

I have this particular violin. I am an adult student and I wanted a better quality violin so I decided on this one. I searched for several months and decided on this brand. I love the sound and quality, more bright than dark. I did upgrade the strings to Obligato and I think they sound really nice on this instrument. The strings are all right that come with the instrument. However, I decided to upgrade them when the strings needed changing. I called for advice and Shar recommended the obligato strings. I practice in a private studio and my teacher also enjoys the sound this violin produces. I think this is well worth the price esp. if you are renting to own. The bow and case that come with the package are nice as well. I always played with a carbon fiber bow so the upgraded bow was a nice change compared to a student bows.

Beautiful Instrument!

The Carlo Lamberi Master Series Guarneri Violin has a beautiful open sound, especially in the upper register. This is an excellent instrument for an advancing student.

Amazing Violin!

This is amazing! The projection is great, and has a perfect degree of "forgiveness". The pitch last a ridiculously long time and sounds great. You can tell when this violin is in tune because you will hear it "click". When I showed this violin to my private teacher she estimated its cost upwards of $3000!! Definitely a great value!

Lamberti Master Series

I recently uprated to the Carlo Lambert Master series violin. This is a wonderful instrument. The tone is warm and resonant without sacrificing clarity and projection. The setup is outstanding: bridge feet fitted to the belly, string notches evenly spaced, pegs fitted for easy tuning, etc. The careful craftsmanship that went into this violin is apparent. Thanks to everyone at Shar.

Very nice . . .

I ordered the Guarneri pattern. While I can't speak for the Stradivari model which is supposed to have a brighter tone, this one is wonderfully rich and robust having an almost viola-like quality in the lower register. A real treat to play and look at. It even makes ME sound good! LoL ?;^D

Lovely violin!

I've tried and owned many violins below and above $2000 such as the Snow and Jay Haide line and teh Lamberti Master is by far the richest, warmest and loudest of the bunch. It is also very beautiful whch was a not a priority to me just a bonus! I am very happy with my Lamberti. Now off to find the right bow....

I'm seriously impressed.

I got this violin for an in-home trial along with another violin in the same price range (Otto Ernst Fischer), and this one was superior in every way. There was really no competition. I loved the tone, feel, playability, and aesthetics. It has a great depth and presence, while maintaining an even brightness. I decided to visit the closest reputable violin shop to me, which is in Boca Raton, to see how this violin compared to several others in the same price range. I spent at least an hour in their shop and played probably a dozen different violins by various makers. They had some really nice instruments, but nothing that was as nice as the Lamberti for the same price. The violin that was the most similar cost $600 more, and the cheapest one they had that actually sounded better was a full $1000 more. The in-home trial was convenient and the staff was helpful every time I called. I've played this violin every day since I got it and I'm loving it more as time goes on.

Exceptional Value

After a few trips to the Shars showroom in which my daughter tried several dozen violins in the 1500-2000 price range we kept coming back to the Lamberti Master. Projection, tone, playability, and responsiveness are all the best we could find in this price range.

A beautiful sound under my ear

I just upgraded from my Franz Hoffman Maestro to the Lamberti Master Art Stradivari model violin. I did the in-home trial, which was an incredibly easy experience and I highly recommend it to anyone who is not sure about which instrument to purchase. I tried both these models of the Lamberti Master Art series and decided to go with the Stradivari model. Both these violins had the "throaty" sound as described on this profile, and the dark sound was absolultely delightful when right under my own ear. My only disappointment with these violins was their lack of projection, even in a smaller room. I compared these two with a brighter sounding violin, also from Shar, and neither Lamberti had as much volume or clarity when I was being the "audience" and my teacher played them. I am wondering if a brighter sounding string or a very bright sounding bow, perhaps a carbon fiber one, might counter-balance some the "darkness" of this violin and help projection. I'll experiment with that. I had first decided to go with the brighter violin that had more projection; however, in the end I changed my mind and went with the sound that was most pleasing to my OWN ear when I was playing the instrument. While it may not carry as far in a room full of people, it sounds the best at close proximity. And that is what my own playing is about. This violin makes my practice time so much more enjoyable. I think my playing has improved 100% in just these few days because I enjoy the sound of this violin so much that I can't stop practicing on it. The varnish is beautiful, although a little thick, and has a nice antiqued look to it. I feel sure it will wear nicely as time goes by. If you are looking for a "Dark" sounding violin, this is your choice.

Not Impressed

I ordered this violin during a trial period with another maker. I have to say I was disappointed and the violin did not impress. The first thing I noticed was that the wood grain was not very high quality and the set up was quite poor. I had played a number of lesser quality violins and the set up on every one of them was MUCH better than it was on the Lamberti violin I received from Shar. This was quite unexpected since the Shar violin retailed for many $100s more. I did enjoy the tone, but that was largely due to the bow (Presto Ovation). I returned the violin and bought the other one I was trialing that cost almost half of what Shar was asking. I still have it today, with no plan s of replacing it any time soon. Still, I recommend trying a violin out either through the rental or in home trial program. It's the only way to make an accurate assessment in my opinion.

Wonderful Violin

I decided to play again after 25 years - since high school. I purchased this violin January 1 and LOVE IT. The tone is beautiful, it is easy to play and I am progressing quickly. The tone is deep and rich - just what I wanted. My teacher loves it. Also stopped at a store in Salt Lake and their Luther went out of his way to compliment my violin.

Excellent Value ..Amazing Instrument

I am an entry level student and was renting a starter eastman violin from a local music shop. When it was time for me to upgrade, my teacher suggested I look for advanced instruments. I did a lot of research and finally got this Master series violin. It was shipped with a very good case and Presto carbon bow. As mentioned on this site, violin came with Vision strings. Personally I did not like those strings so after couple of months I changed those to Obligatos. My violin now sounds even better. My teacher says this sounds like a $5000 violin :). I suppose every instrument has unique personality. My teacher loves Master Series Guarneri violins..he says they are excellent value for this money spent. Shar customer service is excellent and they are ready to help customer in any possible way. Good luck !!

GREAT VIOLIN!!!

When I first got this violin, I was impressed. I was looking for a loud and bright violin, and that is exactly what I got! The E string was loud bright, and it was pleasant to hear. The G string, however, was loud and had a darker tone to it, almost viola like. I brought this violin to my teacher, and she was impressed as well! The only thing that I didn't really like was the D string. It was a bit scratchy and unresponsive at first, but after a couple of days, it sounded great! Great instrument!!!

Outstanding Sound

We bought the Carlo Lamberti Master Series about 4 months ago, as an upgrade for my son. He plays constantly and he was straining to get his beginning violin to make the sounds he was trying to make. What a revelation this choice has been. The set up was very carefully done. It was immediately playable and the sound has been such a pleasure! It has a dramatically richer tone than his first violin. The A and E strings (thomastik Infeld Vision) are sonorous and clear but also so much richer than the very simple tones of his dear beginner violin. The G string particularly has a thick, lush sound that carries incredibly well in performance. initially we paired this with a Presto Audition bow, but, for my son's playing style, this turned the sonorous quality of the upper strings into almost an echo effect. He is now using a Coda Bow Prodigy very successfully, and experimenting with an R.A. Meinel which is a lighter, somewhat drier sound than the Coda Bow but somehow also very pleasing. He is happily figuring out which he likes for which pieces. This is a violin with huge heart. It loves my son's passionate playing. If a growl can be said to be velvety then this violin has that kind of growl. What a great choice.

heck yea bro

I'm a student on my fourth year of violin and I really like this instrument! I ordered four violins from Shar to try out and liked this one the most, which happened to cost the least! The pegs are very easy to turn (this is coming from a person who used to be afraid of peg tuning since my old violin had some bad pegs). It has great sound and can really fill a large room, I earned a 1 in solo and ensemble with it! It has a rich sound which I love and when I played it for the first time I thought it sounded hollow and deep, but with more playing it opened up. It's pretty to look at in general which is a bonus, I'm happy with my choice of this violin :)

Fabulous Violin!

I ordered this violin last week and got it today. I did a few tests with it. It play beautifully! This violin is definitely worth its price! The violin comes with very nice quality strings. The instrument was safe during shipping because of the protection that is placed with the violin. I highly recommend this violin to anyone who is serious about playing! the 12 month no interest plan makes it affordable as well! Love it!

fabulious!

I have been doing research on the qualities to look for in a violin. The prior reviews written by other people where a tremendous help on what I needed to look for. Shar Music home trial sets it far above the other companies. The Lambarti Master , I choose because of the great workmanship and ease of transition to a new instrument. It has a beatiful prozection and clarity of sound. This instrument has made my practice time so much more enjoyable. Thank You Shar Staff. Linda, Fort Hood,Texas

Expensive but worth the price!

I bought this violin last year and I have enjoyed practicing with it ever since even though I am still a relatively beginner student. Just a question: I was just wondering what brand is the strings that the instrument comes with. I already replaced them once but prefer the sound of the original strings.
