While I've enjoyed my Presto Encore model that came with my Carlo Lamberti violin for the last 9 years, I've been wanting a Pernambuco bow as well. I wanted to try this model based on the other two reviews as it was in my price budget. An email coupon of 20% off for my birthday made me pull the trigger. Everything mechanical works very smoothly, the finish and inlay work are excellent, it looks more expensive than it is, and most importantly the bow pulls a nice, robust sound out of my instrument. I never really understood the "organic feel" description that I've read in other reviews, but now I do. The well-balanced feel of this bow acts as an extension of myself, where as my Presto bow feels like a very nice tool. I'd say a solid value indeed on this model and a very nice birthday present to myself.

I purchased this bow after an in home trial 2-3 years ago. I was ready for something better than a beginner bow. This might have been a bigger step than i needed at the time, but it has worked out to be a great fit and I've not been disappointed.
