This bow has a nice feel in the hand. I was surprised to get such a good bow for this price.

We have the 1/10 size bow and it performs very well - much better than the 1/10 Eastman model 20 cello bow or the 1/8 Eastman model 40 cello bow. The amount of hair on the bow is very good, not too thin. In addition, the hair doesn’t get pull out of the ferrule very easily, unlike our Eastman bows which have stretched hair.

Hi Bridget! Typically, you would want to select the bow size the corresponds with the size of cello you son currently uses. We recommend asking your son's teacher if he is ready to size up before purchasing a full-size bow. Also, please feel free to contact us directly at 1-800-248-7427 and we would be happy to assist you over the phone.
