Bach, JS - Sonatas for Violin and Piano Nos 1-3, BWV 1014-1016 - edited by Hans Eppstein - G Henle Verlag URTEXT
Though overshadowed amongst his works for violin by the famous Sonatas and Partitas, J.S. Bach's Sonatas for Violin and Keyboard are nonetheless beautiful and intricately written. The "keyboard" part may played by piano, for ease of modern performance, but was originally intended for harpsichord (sometimes referred to as "cembalo"). Volume 1 contains BWV 1014, 1015, and 1016; for more details, please see "Item Includes."
This Urtext edition is for violin and piano (or harpsichord). Edited by Hans Eppstein, with fingerings in the piano part by Hans-Martin Theopold, and fingerings and bowings in the violin part by Karl Röhrig. Published by G. Henle Verlag.
