Bach, JS - Brandenburg Concerto No 6 BWV 1051 for 1st Viola da Gamba - Peters Edition
Bach's Brandenburg Concertos were forgotten in a private library until 1849, but since their publication then they've been among Bach's most renown works. The sixth Brandenburg Concerto is quite unique, in that it lacks violins, instead featuring the viola de gamba. Scored for two violas, two viola de gambas, cello, and basso continuo, the concerto is unusually dark and rich in texture.
