I am very happy with the KUN super rest for my full-sized violin. The contours fit the shoulder so comfortably, it's a slim design, and it locks securely in place. Also, the rubber-like feet are awesome--it won't scratch the varnish like cheaper shoulder rests I used before. It's worth spending a few dollars more for a quality product like this that will last for years. If you watch famous violinists on YouTube (like Lindsey Stirling)--you'll see 90% of them have shoulder rests with the distinct creme colored feet made by KUN. It's no coincidence--this is best of the best!

I had an old regular Kun shoulder rest from years ago and finally decided I needed to upgrade since the foam padding on the old one has come off multiple times and I've had to glue it back on, and the rubber feet have been deteriorating. I like the new and improved feet on this rest better than my old one. I read some reviews prior to purchasing that said that the new rubber feet slipped off of the violin. I have not experienced this issue so far, and the nice thing about the Super rest is that you can adjust the rest to precisely fit your violin/the way you want the rest positioned. Also, the rest seems durable and the padding seems pretty much the same as the foam padding on my old rest (when it was new). I know other reviews (and myself, from experience with my old rest) have complained about the foam padding becoming un-glued from the plastic shoulder rest after some use. I just purchased this Super rest, so I haven't been using it long enough to determine if this still happens with this particular Kun shoulder rest. Overall, I would recommend this rest over all others I have tried so far (I have tried the Wolfe rests, the Bonmusica rests (both aren't bad), and the Mach One (which I thought was extremely uncomfortable and ineffective, despite how great it looks in the pictures). The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because I have yet to find a rest that I have fallen in love with completely.

I have a fairly long neck, so this shoulder rest doesn't get quite enough. I am constantly trying to make it longer, and because of this constant wear and tear on the screw hole, it gets striped pretty easily. It is great if you don't have a long neck.

Until I started using this shoulder rest I could not hold the violin comfortably. Indespensible.
