How big is the plug that goes inside the cello? I need a replacement endpin for a cello that has a 1 inch endpin hole.

SHAR Answer:

Hi Sarah, thanks for your question. At the bottom of the plug (widest point), it measures 1" in width. Hope this helps!

Hello, Hope you are doing well. For this Cello Endpin 18", I was wondering was is the diameter of the rod? My cello will fit an 8mm diameter and I wanted to make sure that the one you are selling is not larger than that. Thank you for your time and hope to hear from you soon.

SHAR Answer:

Hi Justin! Thank you for your question. The diameter of the rod is 7 mm, but I think it might be more like 8 mm when you factor the small rubber O-shaped ring around the tip of it. The diameter of the base of the endpin is larger (the bottom rubber tip part that sits on the ground), it's more like 15 mm, but I don't think that should affect your situation. I think it should fit into your cello, because for the part of the rod that enters the cello, the diameter is 7 mm (maybe 8 mm including rubber ring). Hope that helps!
