About This Item

Make every day practicing more enjoyable with the KDM-3

With a stylish design that's reminiscent of a mechanical metronome, Korg's most recent addition to the KDM line brings a fresh new look to the popular tabletop concept. The metronome that is known for its powerful volume and clearly-audible tone has some newly expanded features, including a 1 to 120 minute practice timer (only runs while using metronome), additional beat sounds such as a counting female voice, and memory backup so that every time you turn it on, even if the batteries were removed, the settings are just as you left them. With its simple one-touch operation and an easily-readable display, the KDM-3 combines the traditional with the technological and is an attractive addition to any music studio.

Thank you for providing the audio clip of the mechanical sound. What volume level does that clip represent? I am trying to find a metronome that is adequately audible to hear when practicing the violin. I find that the smaller "Korgs" disappear into the background in the high ranges. Also, what is the battery type and life for this model?

SHAR Answer:

Hi Mary! The audio clip doesn't necessarily represent a specific volume level but rather is an example of the tone. Unfortunately, I don't have a way to measure the sound output of the device but I can say it's quite loud when turned to the highest output setting. There's also a headphone jack, which is helpful if you're in a noisy room or having trouble hearing the tone. The metronome includes 4-AAA batteries and has a battery life of approximately 120 hours. Hope this helps!

Can you turn a dial to change to the desired metronome marking, or must you hold down an arrow until the screen shows the desired marking?

SHAR Answer:

Hello Bernard! The large dial on the front is used to increase or decrease the tempo, while the arrows are used to set the number of beats per measure. I hope this helps!
