I use this tuner for my young beginning students, as young as 3 years old. It is very easy to use and accurate enough for this purpose. My favorite tuner for older beginner/intermediate students is the Shar Wide-Range Metro-Tuner (ST204) - It costs the same as this Korg and has the metronome included. For advanced students and myself, I love the Korg KTM40, which is extremely accurate, but a little more expensive than the other two.

Ive used this tuner professionally for about 15 years...the same one! You DO need to use the optional clip on cord if you tune in noisy settings, but it has performed flawlessly from recording studios to noisy bars. And it fits in my case!

Where I need to use it, all the noise around me disterbes it, so I had to buy the Intelli Mecrophone for Tuner. Other than my own defect, it works great.

Hello Brenda! Unfortunately, we do not carry a black CA-1 Korg tuner. We do have the Korg Combo Metronome/Tuner which is black and has the added metronome function. I hope this helps!
