Hi Joseph, thanks for the question! This humidifier just needs to be soaked in warm water for a few minutes. No bleach required!

Hi Chris, thanks for the question! It's a close fit! The holder in the Continental Dart violin case is just a few millimeters too big for this humidifier. It might work well enough anyway, but the tube will likely slip around a bit.

Hello Wayne! This Humidifier tube does not come with mounts, as it is designed for Musafia case models that come with mounts pre-installed. It is 13 inches long. We ship out of our warehouse located in Ann Arbor, MI. This item is currently out of stock, but we expect them to be available by late-February. Let us know if you have any other questions!

See instructions below for using the DIMUS Humidifier and contact us directly at 1-800-248-7427 if you have any additional questions or concerns:
If your Musafia case is equipped with the Dimus hygrometer/ humidifier system, please note that the hygrometer will indicate relative humidity inside the case (if it is kept closed) or inside the room (if it is kept open). The design of the interior as well as the lining material of the case have been conceived to help keep the humidity stable inside the case. This means that the hygrometer will not react immediately to changes in relative humidity, especially if normally kept closed.
The Musafia dial-type hygrometer has the dial divided into quadrants. The needle will indicate the appropriate quadrant if the air is humid (generally above 70%), normal (between 40% and 70%), or dry (below 40%). The optional digital thermo-hygrometer will indicate the actual relative humidity expressed in percentage.
If the air is humid or normal, no action is necessary. Do not use the humidifier in these conditions. If the hygrometer shows that the air is dry ( < 40%), we suggest the following:
1) Remove the humidifier from it's clasps and immerse it completely in warm water in a sink for two minutes.
2) Shake it vigorously to eliminate excess water and dry it with a towel to avoid drippage.
3) Replace the humidifier in it's clasps and close the case with the latch and zippers, leaving the case horizontal (and not standing vertically) for 2-3 hours.
This is sufficient to humidify the interior of the case to safe levels.
