Hello, I've noticed that you have several chin rest models and an wondering which ones are perfect symmetrical so that it can be used for left-handed violin playing. I broke my left wrist and am thinking of switching from right to left. Thanking in advance for your reply, Kim Packard

SHAR Answer:

Hi Kim, thank you for your question. The 1120E and 1120F would both be great options to try for this. 1120F doesn't have the large hump in the center and may be more comfortable.

What is the tiny red plastic "C" shaped piece that's included

SHAR Answer:

The plastic "C" is used to secure the small chinrest tightener/adjuster to one of the legs of the rest during shipping.

Could this alleviate my wrist injuries?

SHAR Answer:

Hi Hiyori, thank you for your question! While I cannot offer medical advice, I can say that a good chinrest is crucial for comfortable playing! I would strongly suggest trying one out to see if it helps alleviate your wrist pain.

Is item #1120 E symmetric? I play a reverse violin, bowing with my left hand, and I am still trying to find a chin-rest and shoulder rest combination that works for me. Ebony preferred. What else do you have that might work with a reversed violin?

SHAR Answer:

Hello! This chinrest is perfectly semetrical and should work if you are playing left handed. Unfortunately, every other chinrest we carry has a plate that orients slightly to the right. I apologize that we do not have more options available to you. Please let us know if you have any other questions!
