Unopened strings may be returned within 30 days so that we may supply all our customers with the freshest possible strings. Because of tonal qualities of each instrument are unique we cannot accept string returns for reasons of tone including false strings.

I have been using Jargar strings for 40 years and found them to always be reliable, not matter what the weather conditions. They are reasonably priced and sound as good or better that many other brands that have a higher price tag.
As a beginning cellist, I appreciate having an option for bright and responsive strings at a reasonable price. Jargar strings are an excellent option for the A and D string. I love the instant improvement in my tone!
While the Jargar A in forte can work well for many cellos, I find the forte D problematic. It tends to be a bit dull and diffuse sounding, which is not what most cellos need on the D string. I’ve found the Jargar D in medium tension to be a better option.
I really advocate for the JARGAR Forte gauge A and D strings because they respond beautifully, and because they are fatter than some popular alternative brands, allowing your vibrato to be quite luscious and uncomplicated with these strings. Every rehearsal with an orchestra has brought immediate applause or shuffling after a cello solo when I've used these strings. I also used to string the MONTAGNANA cello owned by Sammy Mayes with these strings when Sammy and Wini hosted me in their home while I helped teach for them.
I don't know what Yo-yo Ma is using now, since he purchased that incredible cello from Sammy, but JARGAR Fortes were Sammy's choice as Principal Cellist of the Philadelphia Orchestra, and of Boston Symphony, during his 20 years with each orchestra as its Principal cellist.
