These fine tuners are durable and do fit snugly with the screws holding them in place. I use a thin flathead screwdriver to open the prongs to fit each student's strings. It feels weird to have to do this, but it works and the metal is durable enough to do it. This brand works and is one of the best things that can be done to help students learn to love playing.
Selling incremental-sized instruments without all four fine tuners is ghoulish and cruel.

The fine tuners are good. All you have to do is spread the prongs apart with a pocket knife or similar tool.

I ordered these for my studentís violin only to find out that the prongs arenít wide enough to fit even the A string. I wouldíve had to forcefully push the strings in each fine tuner. I even tried stretching the prongs slightly further apart but they wouldnít budge. Perhaps a good quality about these fine tuners is that theyíre made with strong metal, theyíre also pretty. Because they didnít fit any of the strings though, I have to give a one star review.

I agree - I also ordered these and cannot use them. The string portion technically does fit through the small slot, but it will not slide down over the thread-wound portion at the end of the string. I considered returning but not sure it's not more to
send back than I paid for them. Truly disappointing.
