Sassmannshaus, Egon and Kurt - Early Introduction to String Ensemble Playing - for String Trio or Flexible Ensemble - Barenreiter

Item# 5151 162

Shar: $16.10Sale: $14.49

In Stock

This collection introduces first polyphonic playing for strings with the help of canons. In this way note reading of more abstract middle and lower parts is avoided. The children enjoy the thrill of ensemble playing and at the same time are able to fully concentrate on rhythm and playing together. For the six little dance movements by Baroque composers which follow on from the canons a second violin part is provided as an alternative to the viola part.

Includes all instruments on one page for the canons, which can be used in any ensemble of violins, violas, or cellos. The baroque trios in the latter half of the book are written in score form for two violins and cello, but an optional viola insert is included to replace the second violin part if needed.

Plug 'n Play™ Cello Outfit

Item# PPC24T

$999.00

We've just added more reasons to love Plug 'n Play™ cellos! Working with a performing electric cellist, we focused on the needs of ensemble performers. Because tuning in the middle of a performance can be frightful, we added geared pegs, which hold their tuning and make adjustments almost imperceptible. We also added much more power, so you can soar above the horns when the music calls for it! And for practice at home, you can forgo the amp, plug in the included earphones, and practice without disturbing others.

If you play a traditional acoustic cello, switching over to the Plug ' Play™ couldn't be easier – just plug into an amp, adjust the carbon fiber endpin, have a seat, and start playing. If you perform in a band and need to stand up, remove the endpin, insert the special extra long endpin provided, attach chest support piece, and you're ready to rock. Each Plug 'n Play™ is set up by SHAR, including critical finishing of the ebony fingerboard.

Outfit includes pro gig bag, Brazilwood bow (KCB), cable with 1/4" jack, chest piece, earbuds and 9-volt battery. In ebony black.

SHAR Plug 'n Play™ Amplifier
These portable amps are perfect for practicing in the home or studio at low volumes. The 10-watt Violin/Viola amp features a 5" speaker, volume, bass, and treble controls, an overdrive switch, input jack, and headphone jack. The all new 30-watt cello-bass amp has a 10" speaker, volume, bass, middle, mid-frequency, and treble controls, high and low input jack, and headphone jack.
Which Amp?
Bowed string instruments have such a wide range of frequencies and dynamics that we recommend an "acoustic" instrument amplifier for live performances. Violins and violas enjoy the best results with amps that have a tweeter to accommodate the higher frequencies, while cellos and basses should use bass amplifiers.
