Pledge of Quality

If your American Case should need a repair, please fill out our online American Case Repair Form.  If you have any questions, feel free to contact us via email or phone at 800.248.7427.

Designed in the United States to our exacting specifications with our lifetime warranty against any flaw in workmanship or materials. These defects include any flaws and/or failings, created as a result of faulty manufacturing, related to the structure of the case itself, nuts and bolts, screws, or case handle.

Normal wear and tear, which is most often related to the case cover, is NOT covered by this warranty. Broken zippers, discoloration, or worn case covers can be fixed and/or replaced for a certain fee. All repair fees will include the cost of the labor as well as the materials needed to fix the case. We will contact you with the repair quote, unless you give us an authorization to fix the case up to a certain amount. Your approval is required in order for us to proceed with the repair.

What defects are repaired at no cost to me?
Within the first year of purchase, most defects will be fixed free of charge. This includes broken or poorly installed zippers, any problems with the case cover (materials coming apart), or any major or minor esthetic flaws that do not necessarily undermine the functionality of the case. These nonfunctional defects are only covered within the first year.

Defects related to the case structure, shell, handle, screws or anything that holds the case together, are covered during the lifetime of the case.

Who determines if a repair is covered under the warranty?
All American cases sent to us for repair are inspected. Upon careful inspection, our experienced repair technician determines whether something is considered a manufacturing flaw or is simply a result of excessive case (ab)use or lack of good care. Based on his recommendation, we will either fix the damage at no cost to you, or our American Case Representative will contact you with the estimated repair fee.

Who pays the shipping costs?
After the first year of purchase, the customer is responsible for all shipping costs, to and from Shar. Within the first year, we would send UPS to pick up your case for evaluation. We would also mail the repaired or replacement case back to you free of charge.
