    These do the job

    We just replaced 6-year-old strings on our son's violin with these. I chose them based strictly on the price because he's close to outgrowing this violin anyway. I was pleasantly surprised hat they brightened the tone of his violin quite nicely. Although we ended up not using them, I appreciated that each string came with the little rubber donut thingy that lets you temper the strings' brightness if that's the sound you prefer (or that complements your violin better). I'm sure there are better strings out there, but these certainly work for our student instrument. ... (See Full Review)
