This new A string offers a warmer, more typical viola sound than the existing Kaplan Solutions Viola A. It allows a better match with warmer-sounding bottom strings, while keeping plenty of power whenever needed in this higher register.

With a family string-making tradition stretching back to at least 1680 in Italy, Charles D'Addario emigrated to the US by 1918 and started making strings in New York. Through the generations new technologies have been adopted and D'Addario now makes an extensive line of strings, all proudly made in the USA.

    WONDERFUL DIFFERENCE 10STAR

    This is an excellent string! It turn my $200 dollar instrument into a $1000+ viola! It still does give that beautiful viola sound, but also takes that bad tangy sound from my cheaper viola!! f you want a warm, dynamic sound, this is the PERFECT STRING!!!! ... (See Full Review)
