Haydn’s Violin Concerto No. 2 in G major (Hob VIIa:4) is a great example of Classical period style.  Full of simple yet lovely melodies, the piece requires brilliant intonation and lightness of sound at the same time.  Perfect for advancing players who are comfortable with shifting, some double-stops, and the occasional four-note chord. 

This Breitkopf and Härtel edition is edited by Walter Heinz Bernstein, with cadenzas by Thomas Zehetmair and a historical preface in German and English.
