Arcangelo Corelli was perhaps the first well-known
violinist-composer of the Italian Baroque.
His contributions to violin playing are still recognized today,
particularly in the large catalogue of works he composed for the
instrument. He wrote 12 sonatas for
violin and basso continuo, including this cheerful sonata in A major. He also composed a massive volume of trio
sonatas and concerti grossi, as well as many other works.
This edition contains editorial markings by
Albrecht Winter, as well as a play-along CD.
The Basso continuo consists of both a keyboard part (with the figured
bass realized), and an optional cello/bass part. Published by Dowani International.
Difficulty: A4/A5
