This C.F. Peters publication is Volume 1 of Robert Schumann’s rather unusual piano accompaniment to the Bach Six Sonatas and Partitas for violin.  It is edited by Joseph Hellmesberger and contains the first three sonatas (or Sonatas 1 & 2, and Partita 1), BWV 1001 – 1003.  For the final three (BWV 1004 – 1006), see Volume 2.

NOTE: This is the piano part only (the violin part is printed in small type over the score).
