The Carl Fischer edition of this work is edited by Leopold Auer.

Note: Despite the title on the cover (Six Sonatas), this book does contain the six works known as the Sonatas and Partitas, BWV 1001 – 1006. Further, the table of contents incorrectly refers to musical items 2, 4, and 6 as “sonatas.” These are actually the partitas. Bach’s 6 Sonatas and Partitas are not a total of 12 works; they consist of 3 Sonata da Chiesa & 3 Partitas.
