Nicola Mestrino was a Classical composer, violinist, and contempory of Haydn. In fact, though he was Italian by birth, he played in Haydn's orchestra at the court of the Austro-Hungarian Esterhazy family in the 1780s, before moving to Paris in the latter part of that decade. These Tre Duetti Concertanti, Op. 3 for two violins are part of a grouping of six that also includes three duets for violin and viola.

This edition contains a score and two violin parts, which are structured for convenience of page turns. Edited by István Kertész. Published by Editio Musica Budapest.
