Recommended for Beginners on a budget. The Prelude is made with higher quality tonewood that will allow Beginners to advance further on their musical journey before trading up to another instrument.

Hand made by skilled artisans from aged maple and spruce tonewoods. Enhanced arching gives a warmer and more powerful sound; careful varnish application gives a clean and precise look that brings out the beauty of the wood; better quality pegs allow your young student to master the intricacies of tuning. In every way, our Prelude will exceed your expectations for a beginner's instrument - it will delight both parents and teachers and inspire your young student. Set-up with Overture Premium strings. Outfit includes KVB Brazilwood bow, rosin and TC66 shaped case. Made in China, inspected in our Ann Arbor workshop. Available in 4/4 - 1/32 sizes.

    Very pleased!

    Just started back playing violin after a 20 year hiatus and my 25 year old Suzuki 220 violin just needed more work to get back in top notch playing condition then it was worth. I decided to upgrade" if you can say that from it to this model and WOW what a difference in sound! It seems to project much better, sounds much louder than my Suzuki did and I can definitely say it will make me a better student. I plan on keeping it for a year or so before upgrading but for now this violin has plenty of room for me to "advance into" so to speak! ... (See Full Review)

50% - credit of the original purchase for Hoffmann instruments and outfits.

100% - credit of the original purchase price for better quality instruments (Carlo Lamberti, Otto Ernst Fischer, Karl Joseph Schneider, John Cheng Workshop, Collector's Series, and those from our Fine Instrument Collection).

There will be NO refurbishment fee deducted for normal wear and tear. A depreciation fee will only be deducted if the instrument has had serious damage (cracks, etc.).
