With an unusually warm, round tone, yet outstanding projection, the Franz Hoffmann Maestro stands a head taller than other student violins at this price. Made to our exacting specifications in our Chinese partner workshop, each Maestro is carefully adjusted and test played in our Ann Arbor workshop, so that your Maestro is ready to play and sure to delight for years to come. Available in 4/4 – 1/4 sizes, with limited stock of 1/10 and 1/16 available.

    Wonderful Warm Sound

    My husband and I were hesitant to spend so much on a child's violin. However, after we received it and heard the beautiful warm tone quality, we were so pleased that we will only buy the Maestro n the future. We actually tried several other violins in the same price range, but they all sounded twangy (which is common with fractional violins). The most beautiful warm sound was created by the Hoffmann Maestro. Our teacher loves it, and for practice the warm tones are forgiving and easy on the ears. Whether it is from a 1/4 size to a 1/2 size or from an advanced instrument to a professional instrument, we offer you a generous trade-in credit for your current instrument.

50% - credit of the original purchase for Hoffmann instruments and outfits.

100% - credit of the original purchase price for better quality instruments (Carlo Lamberti, Otto Ernst Fischer, Karl Joseph Schneider, John Cheng Workshop, Collector's Series, and those from our Fine Instrument Collection).

There will be NO refurbishment fee deducted for normal wear and tear. A depreciation fee will only be deducted if the instrument has had serious damage (cracks, etc.).
