This Franz Hoffmann instrument does not come with any accessories, it is the instrument only. Most players purchase an outfit to start which includes a case, bow, and rosin, all of which are needed to begin playing.

The perfect viola for the beginner! Designed from the ground up as "best in class", the Hoffmann Amadeus viola is crafted from quality maple, spruce and ebony. Refined setup is immediately evident in the smooth hand feel, smooth peg function and responsive, clear sound. Carbon fiber tailpiece with four built-in string adjusters helps the beginner develop confidence.

This item comes with Shar's 1 year warranty covering defects of workmanship or materials. General wear and tear or mis-use are not covered. Non-transferable.

    Very playable but lacking in tone

    My Amadeus came with Shars excellent setup and is very playable More than worth what I paid for it. I bought this as a travel viola. If you're looking at this instrument for a beginner hough I would highly recommend going to the Concert line. The Concert viola has vastly superior tone although playability is the same. There will be NO refurbishment fee deducted for normal wear and tear. A depreciation fee will only be deducted if the instrument has had serious damage (cracks, etc.).
