The perfect viola for the beginner! Designed from the ground up as "best in class", the Hoffmann Amadeus viola is crafted from quality maple, spruce and ebony. Refined setup is immediately evident in the smooth hand feel, smooth peg function and responsive, clear sound. Carbon fiber tailpiece with four built-in string adjusters helps the beginner develop confidence.

This Franz Hoffmann viola does not come with any accessories, it is the viola only. Most players purchase an outfit to start which includes a case, bow, and rosin, all of which are needed to begin playing. You can find an outfit here.

This item comes with Shar's 1 year warranty covering defects of workmanship or materials. General wear and tear or mis-use are not covered. Non-transferable.

    More than your money's worth

    This student Viola model is definitely a great value. When I first played the instrument it produced a large rich tone and it really rang a lot. I am really quite impressed of how nice this iola sounds for the price I paid! ... (See Full Review)

50% - credit of the original purchase for Hoffmann instruments and outfits.

100% - credit of the original purchase price for better quality instruments (Carlo Lamberti, Otto Ernst Fischer, Karl Joseph Schneider, John Cheng Workshop, Collector's Series, and those from our Fine Instrument Collection).

There will be NO refurbishment fee deducted for normal wear and tear. A depreciation fee will only be deducted if the instrument has had serious damage (cracks, etc.).
