    Great except for handle and closure...

    I purchased this case less than a year ago and really like its light weight, storage compartments and subway handle. However, the nicely padded main handle is starting to break down. The vinyl hat covers a layer of foam which comes between the hard part of the handle and your hand tore open at both ends, exposing the foam, and is about to separately completely from the handle along the whole length. I am going to have to wrap the handle with electrical or duct tape to keep the foam contained and stop the degradation. The cracks opened where the vinyl experiences the most stress--at the corners. Also, the cover zippers don't come all the way in to where the handle connects. A velcro flap covers the velour-type inner case cover where the zippers end, which is not much protection against moisture when carrying in the rain. A few design improvements and this would be a great case. ... (See Full Review)

    Good Quality Protection

    I was very satisfied with this case, for the most part. The suspension was very thick, and provided my violin with a superior place to rest. The velvet material was very soft, and felt like royal place for your violin. The two pockets were very handy, and I liked the fact that the string tube comes secured with velcro in the bottom of the outside music pocket. The outside material is a slick woven plastic like material, it looked and felt really neat, and seems to be rather sturdy, but it did start to pill and fuzz just a bit after a while. The main handle had a really nice padding underneath, but the padding material started splitting from the handle after around 6 months. Some super glue would have fixed this just fine, but I got my case replaced with the warranty. I have found it to be a comfortable weight, not to heavy, not flimsy. The backpack straps are good straps, I have no complaints there. Overall, I would definitely recommend getting this case, as it is a really good, quality case.
