So comfortable you'll forget it's on your back!

The SHAR Traveler is the perfect case for the violinist on the go, whether around town, on campus or at camp. Although it looks like most oblong cases, the SHAR Traveler features built-in contoured backstraps. Best of all, they self-stow under a clever flap so they're out of the way when you don't need them.

Shell: Reinforced, lightweight foam.
Interior: Soft velvet lining, suspension feature, two accessory compartments and two bow holders.
Outside: Black nylon cover with black accent trim, flip-latch, YKK zippers, subway handle, large padded carry handle and two large products with zipper closure (one for sheet music and the other for shoulder rest, runner and other accessories).

4/4 size. Weighs 5.25 lbs.
1-Year Limited Warranty
This item comes with Shar's 1 year warranty covering defects of workmanship or materials. General wear and tear or mis-use are not covered. Non-transferable.

    just too small

In certain respects, I like the build quality better than the case I chose to stick with. The zipper pulls are sturdy, the blanket is quite nice, the subway handle is better than the simplistic trap on the American Heritage. I wonder if a simple pocket the length of the case wouldn't make the lid lighter. I like the cover over the backpack straps. They may not make for the most stable base, but that probably doesn't matter since the base is too light--the case falls back when you open it. Everything is a tight fit. The violin, my shoulder rest, even my bows make contact on both sides (once I found the one angle that fit at all). I had to turn my rosin on the side to fit in the smaller compartment. The larger one can't handle a box of Helicore strings (and no string tube). I just couldn't accept the contact on the tip of the bow. This case is going back. ... (See Full Review)

    Tight Squeeze

I was so looking forward to a case with backpack-style shoulder straps. Unfortunately, when the case arrived, my fiddle barely fit. I tried another fiddle and it was the same story. It was just oo snug. Other than that it looked like a great case, especially for the price. ... (See Full Review)
