About This Item

Previously unpublished, Paganini's Sonata in A Major for Solo Violin, MS 82 is considered by scholars to be a youthful work, written in his late teens, during the legendary vacation on which he acquired (through a set of fateful circumstances, relayed in the afterword to this edition) the violin that became known as "The Cannon" Guarneri de Gesu.  Like most of Paganini's other works, it is extremely difficult, bound to stretch performers to the limits of their skill.

This first edition Urtext printing is edited by Michael Jelden, and includes a helpful historical foreword/afterword in German and English, as well as revisions and performance notes on executing the piece.  Published by Edition Peters.

Difficulty: A6
