Good pieces for learning
My instructor recently had me learn the pieces in this book. It offered good learning opportunities for stretch positions (like the B flat on the A string that appears frequently in "Gavotte") and some new bow techniques, like hooked bowing and spiccato. I've been playing less than a year, so this book gave me some good challenges, without being beyond my ability. After finishing this book, I certainly felt I had gotten alot out of it and grown as a beginning student.
