If you think joining our 2013 Apprentice Class is right for you, here’s what you need to do:
Step One: Officially apply and let us know you’re interested before May 6, 2013. Please email us your résumé, application, and letter of interest to firstname.lastname@example.org. Be sure to tell us why you’d like to be an apprentice, and what skills you’d bring to the position. Tell us in your own words what you see yourself doing at SHAR during your apprenticeship if hired.
Step Two: Phone interview. We want to get a sense of who you are and will arrange these calls once our recruiting team reviews all applications and résumés.
Step Three: Selected candidates will be invited to Ann Arbor, MI for an official interview day and site visit. Candidates will tour the SHAR facility, meet current apprentices and be interviewed by SHAR executives. This interview day is usually the first Friday in June.
Step Four: After the SHAR site visit and interviews, most candidates know if the Apprentice Program is a good fit for them at this point in their careers. Some will decide on further schooling, some will decide to stay with SHAR and some will choose other options. Please note, we always have more candidates then we do apprenticeships and it’s impossible to offer an apprenticeship to everyone seeking it. That said, as with any audition or interview, it’s important to prepare, research and practice so you can always know you did your best, regardless of the outcome. Offers are extended for selected candidates to join the Apprentice Class of 2013 and starting dates are determined (usually around the end of July/first of August).
If you still have questions about our Apprentice Program or a specific issue you’d like to discuss before applying, please drop us an email and we will get back to you as soon as possible. SHAR is excited to begin the recruiting process again.
We look forward to hearing from you!
Email all applications and inquires to email@example.com
