- Canadian Customers
Canadian customers are welcome to shop on our Canadian site at www.sharmusic.ca. Order online for complete service from our US warehouse near Detroit. All prices are in US dollars, and we add all required duties, GST, PST and customs fees at the time of your order. We then pre-clear your shipment through customs, so there are no unexpected charges or delays!

International Orders
As of August 24, 2012, SHAR Music can ship orders within the United States, USA territories and Canada. We apologize but our shipping service outside the US/Canada has been temporarily discontinued. We regret any inconvenience, and hope to offer the service again in the future. If you have contacts within the United States who are able to forward your order to your international destination, SHAR's secure web checkout will still accept foreign billing addresses if the shipping address provided is within the United States or Canada.

Order Restrictions
- Credit cards accepted for most orders: Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or American Express. Order must include valid billing address for card used.
- Some orders may require payment via wire transfer. You will be contacted with instructions and fees if this applies to your order.
- We are unable to backorder any out of stock items. If items on your order are not in stock, your order will be held until all items are available to ship.
- Yamaha products may not be shipped outside the US.
- All international orders must include a valid email address and phone number.
- All international orders will be charged a US$5.00 processing fee.

Online ordering for shipments outside the US and Canada is not available at this time.

International Shipping Information
We offer Global Priority Mail, Global Express Mail, and FedEx International shipping to our international customers. Approximate delivery times are as follows: Global Priority Mail 6-10 business days, Global Express mail shipping 3-7 business days, and FedEx International shipping 2-5 business days to reach your local customs office. You will be contacted via email within approximately 3 business days with a shipping quote. Your order will be processed upon your email confirmation/acceptance of the shipping quote.

SHAR and its shipping partners are not able to influence local delivery practices. The arrival times shown above for International shipping indicate the amount of time it will take for your order to reach the custom’s office in your country. The time it takes to get your order from custom’s office to your recipient’s address or postal office can vary widely from country to country. Delivery may be delayed by customs/import duties and local postal requirements.

Customs
We are required to list the contents of all international packages and the exact total value of your shipment, even if the order is a gift. Any customs, taxes or import duties are your responsibility and are levied once the package reaches your country. The only exception is for Canada – orders placed through our Canadian site will include all taxes and duties.

Any additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. We do not take responsibility for goods confiscated by customs officials or by similar authorities. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; if you are not sure, you should contact your local customs office for further information before placing your order. Orders are not returnable or refundable because of unexpected customs duties or other taxes. If you refuse delivery of the order, SHAR will not refund your payment. In no event will SHAR pay any duties, taxes or fees on your behalf.

Backorders

Backordered items in your order will ship automatically once they become available. You have not been charged for these backordered items; you will only be charged for items once they have been shipped. We do not require you to pay any extra shipping and handling costs for backordered items. Because of the handcrafted nature of many of our items, out of stock items may take 60 to 90 days to become available. You may cancel a backorder at any time. Please note we cannot ship backorders internationally, including Canada.

Internet Orders
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Novus/Discover Card.

Phone, Fax, Email, or Mail Orders
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Novus/Discover Card. We also accept check or money order payable in US funds and drawn on a US bank.

Canadian Orders
All Canadian orders are processed in US funds.

Schools and Institutions
An official, approved Purchase Order or prepayment is required. Shipments are made FOB Ann Arbor, MI. School bids are welcome! Please call 866.742.7261 to talk to a schools specialist for more information.

Other Terms

Mail Order Terms
A check or Money Order, payable in U.S. Funds drawn on a U.S. bank must accompany each order. You may also use MasterCard, Visa, Discover Card, or American Express. Add 6% State Sales Tax on orders purchased from or shipped to any Michigan address.

Canadian Orders
SHAR ships anywhere in Canada. Please click here for current shipping rates. We are required to add duties, GST, PST and customs fees to your order. These amounts will be calculated and confirmed for you when you place your order by phone or online.

Pricing
All prices are in U.S. dollars and are accurate to the best of our knowledge. Prices do not include any taxes, duties or other fees that may be assessed by any state, federal or foreign government. We reserve the right to change prices at any time, and are not responsible for typographical errors.

Guarantee
You must be satisfied with the merchandise we sell. Any item, except for special orders, installed strings and opened electronic media (software, cd's, dvd's, & vhs) may be returned within 30 days for refund or exchange.  Any item, except strings, that proves defective in normal use during the first year may be returned for refund or exchanged, subject to SHAR's determination of the cause of failure.

String Packaging
Gut wound strings are mailed in a crush-proof plastic tube in a 6" circle when not factory developed. Straight packaging of gut wound strings is available upon request for an extra $4.00 charge.

String Returns
Please inspect your strings immediately upon receipt. Unopened strings may only be returned within 30 days, so that we may supply all our customers with the freshest possible strings. Installed strings are not returnable, unless they break within the first 30 days after purchase. Because the tonal qualities of each instrument are unique, we cannot accept string returns for reasons of tone, including false strings.

Sheet Music Restocking Charge
Unless the music received is defective or has been shipped in error, all returned music will be subject to a restocking charge of $2.00 per item.

Returns
Please call 800.248.7427 for a return authorization number. All non-defective returns must be in like-new condition, with all accessories, instructions and boxes included, or a restocking fee will apply.

Shipping
We ship most orders within 24 hours. You will be informed of any items not in stock at the time of your order. Because of the hand-crafted nature of many of our items, out-of-stock items may take 60 to 90 days to become available. You may cancel a back order at anytime. Your credit card will not be charged until an item ships.

Typographical Errors
SHAR believes prices and statements to be true at the time of publication and endeavors to provide accurate information. SHAR is not responsible for typographical errors or fluctuations of color due to monitor limitations.
