Amedee Dieudonne Mirecourt Anno 1930 Violin

French maker Amedee Dieudonne, born 1890, established his shop in Mirecourt circa 1920. Pupil of Bazin, Dieudonne made many replica violins that were artfully executed. While his varnish was typically a vibrant red to reddish-yellow, this particular example of his work was made exclusively for the Rudolph Wurlitzer Shop in Chicago. Dieudonne’s divergence from his typical varnish was likely done at Wurlitzer’s request.
The back is of two pieces of maple cut on the quarter of medium width flame descending from the center seam. The ribs and scroll are of more tightly flamed maple. The top is of two pieces of spruce cut on the quarter of medium, irregular width grain widening slightly at the flanks. The varnish is golden-brown over a dark ground.

Asked On: 06/02/2017

I'm just curious on how much is it to home trial a violin. Is it cheaper if I were to try more than one, or is it a set price per violin?
