Great Starter/Backup Bow

I ordered a couple of these in order to have back-ups on hand for each of my violins. My expectations were frankly low. However, what I received were well-made, balanced bows with decent hair and hardware. The only obvious flaws making them "seconds" appeared to be cosmetic rather than structural. These are a great bargain. Also, kudos to Shar on the excellent packaging for shipping.

This may be a second Shar Fusion Bow but it definitely would be most peoples first. I could not find a thing wrong to make it rated a second bow and it performs flawlessly. Huge bargain!

Sufficient for the budget minded.

Purchased two, both play fine in spite of some slight warping. Perfect for those students who may not be able to afford either more expensive bows and/or rehairing services. They may not be perfect, but they sure beat a straight bow with only 1/4 of the hair left on it.

SECOND QUALITY - Good Buy

As my daughter is growing from one size to the next & we are borrowing or renting her instruments, I thought it best to give these bows a shot. She's been using them for close to a year & they're in great shape still; she practices 30+ minutes, 5-6 times a week. Her teacher approved of them as well. I rated it 4 stars, because Shar says it's a second. So where are the SECOND QUALITY bows for the bass?!

A. Blemished bows are brand new, but they are being sold at a discounted price because they exhibit some sort of slight imperfection. These blemishes are cosmetic only and will not affect the sound or play-ability of the bow. For more information regarding this particular bow, please contact the SHAR Violin Shop at 1-866-742-7270.
