As a professional violinist I have tried many different kinds of rosin. After going through countless brands and formulations, this one seems to make the most clear and resonant tone of any have tried. I even use less of it, so the higher price is well worth it. February 20, 2013One of the best rosins I have used.
I have been using Andrea Bang Rosins for several years already. It's not the only rosin I use because it depends on the sound quality I want to produce. This gives very good, "articulation." t's still me who has to play and not the rosin. :) It glides easily on the bow. I use Passione gut and Larsen Tzigane. I'm satisfied with Bernardel as well, no complaints. I also like Guillaume and Liebenzeller gold I and Silver I. They are among the best rosins I should say, not only Andrea Bang's violin solo. However, I prefer the Orchestra version of the rosin. It produces a more mellow tone. Although this one is great for solo playing, or string quartets. It's the perfect rosin to use for new bows. They can last you 2 to 3 years, depending on use. ... (See Full Review)
