Kirlin’s innovative design for the Studio ITD starts off by completely changing the core of the cable. Regular Oxygen Free Copper (OFC) conductor has been replaced with dual Mono Crystal Copper conductors. Mono Crystal has 8-13% less resistance than OFC, which allows the cable to transmit purer, cleaner signals. The superior tensile property of Mono Crystal Copper will further improve the cable’s flexibility and durability. Mono Crystal Copper is widely used in audiophile grade Hi-Fi equipment, but it is rarely applied in instrument cables due to its high cost.
The braided shielding of ITD cable, also made with Mono Crystal Copper, has 95% coverage for better protection from interference. All is surrounded by ultra-flexible 7.5mm OD outer jacket, made with the best PVC compound to date. ITD has a lighter feel than our other Studio Series cables, but comes with an even more massive sound!
Because it's made of wood, the transducer won't mark the top of your instrument. Very transparent sound color, easy to amplify. No need to re-attenuate amp settings between arco and pizzicato. 1/4" input jack. Simple installation with no change to the instrument required.
Universal volume attenuator that lets you adjust volume on-the-fly, no matter which string bass pickup is installed. No-fuss installation to the tailpiece without fasteners. Simply loosen the strings, mount, tighten.
Easy to install on any stringed instrument, including violin, viola, cello, bass, mandolin and even guitar! Just thread the pickup under the lowest and highest strings, right below the bridge. Simply plug into your amp with the 11.5 foot cable and start playing. Can be quickly removed to use on another instrument or when you don't want it in the way for pure acoustic performance.
