The Realist Copperhead Pickups are by David Gage & NS Design. The Copperhead rests between the bridge feet and the instrument top, which puts it exactly where the sound is transferred from the strings to the sound board. The result is rich, powerful response, both pizzicato and bowed. Its mounting hardware is extremely compact and with such a high output gain it requires no external preamp. The copper foil sandwich construction provides total shielding to eliminate hum from light fixtures and other electrical or radio interference.

Kirlin’s innovative design for the Studio ITD starts off by completely changing the core of the cable. Regular Oxygen Free Copper (OFC) conductor has been replaced with dual Mono Crystal Copper conductors. Mono Crystal has 8-13% less resistance than OFC, which allows the cable to transmit purer, cleaner signals. The superior tensile property of Mono Crystal Copper will further improve the cable’s flexibility and durability. Mono Crystal Copper is widely used in audiophile grade Hi-Fi equipment, but it is rarely applied in instrument cables due to its high cost.
The braided shielding of ITD cable, also made with Mono Crystal Copper, has 95% coverage for better protection from interference. All is surrounded by ultra-flexible 7.5mm OD outer jacket, made with the best PVC compound to date. ITD has a lighter feel than our other Studio Series cables, but comes with an even more massive sound!
